How to Tell If Your Battery Is Dead

5. Connect one end of the black jumper cable to the negative terminal of the good battery.

6. Start the car that is jumping. Run the car dead for 2 to 3 minutes before starting.

7. Remove the cables in reverse order.

8. Drive the jumped car for at least 30 minutes to give the battery enough time to recharge.

If you have a standard transmission car, you can start this bad boy without a cable. Here's how you do it:

1. Find a clear downhill road.

2. Coast down the hill until you reach 5 to 7 mph

3. Turn the ignition on.

4. took your foot off the brake and start rolling down the hill, fully depressing the clutch.

5. Fully depress the clutch & put the car in first gear.

6. Release the clutch quickly. You should feel the engine turn on and start.

7. If you don't have a hill, get some friends to push you and follow the steps above.
